Brisket?
Yes, please.
Why would I have my kid take a picture of me with a spilled drink??
Because it was too funny and rather genius.

I noticed that at the bottom of my draft beer cup, it looked like a token.
Whoops.

Fall

“Autumn leaves don't fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.”

Turtlehead (Chelone obliqua)
"The flower gets its common name from its resemblance to a turtle's head, but the genus name Chelone dates back to ancient Greece mythology. As the story goes, a nymph by the name of Chelone elected not to attend the marriage of Zeus and Hera, so she and her house were tossed into a river, where she transformed into a tortoise who carried her house on her back."

Looking on the bright side of things.

LDC's Neon 12th Birthday Party

Pool Party and Minute-it-to-Win-it Games

Although it rained (poured) the first hour- the sun came out with a rainbow.
Just enough time for glitter slime making, pizza eating, and constant chatter about the anticipation of middle school.

We got each friend their own pool float...the b-day girl got a unique neon one...which of course they all had to play in.

Side note:

I am loving that she is now old enough to help to pull the party together.

Above, her setting up for

Below, results.
