crossed off item

When I stopped working a paying job two years ago, I created a SAHM-Bucket-List of what I wanted to accomplish/see/do before heading back to the classroom.
Crunch time is now on.

A pantry full of jars for the fall and winter.

The Bluegrass State

Part two of our trip included visiting Andy's sweet family in Kentucky

A hysterical sneak attack on PawPaw's head

Clip on earrings from MawMaw seemed to be the hot accessory during the visit

fourth chapter of Deuteronomy

Summer Vacation 2013 Blue Ridge Parkway (NC)
West Fork Pigeon River
Skinny Dip Falls
Bubbling Spring Branch Upper Falls
We crossed streams during the day
We watched sunsets in the evening
We played and relaxed near chilly waterfalls
We climbed steep trails (Mt. Pisgah Summit Trail)
LDC required a little assistance on some hikes (Frying Pan Gap Trail)
Speaking of "a little assistance"...This pic was taken at 5500+ feet in elevation....hands on my hips taking a break from carrying a toddler as we approached a summit.  On our way back down this trail, we passed a pregnant woman hiking whose little one was past due and she was trying to hurry things along.  Whew.
S'more Time
love this pic

"The name "Pisgah" comes from the fourth chapter of Deuteronomy, The Lord ordered Moses to the top of this mountain and told him to look in all directions, thus revealing the "Promised Land" to the tribes of Israel." http://www.cnyhiking.com/BRP-MountPisgah.htm
