"You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance."Franklin P Jones
I would like to personally thank Lora Jensen and her 3DayPottyTraining. It has been weeks since and cross your fingers, I think we may be good to go. I am positive Mother Earth is pleased.
LDC woke up and walked downstairs for breakfast, to find our house full of balloons and balls. From the expression on her face, she was a VERY happy little girl. Forget trying to feed breakfast to a 26 month old at this point.
What was it all about.....We hosted a Balls, Bubbles and Balloons playgroup. Sadly it was 45 degrees outside this morning so before our guests got here (and before LDC got up) I moved things inside-- minus the bubble making machine. I moved the bubbles to the front porch to greet our little toddler friends, as they stumbled walked in the door.
Lots of delighted squeals and smiles. I love that.
The gem behind Gem Lakes is our recreation area, in addition to a fun neighborhood board who puts on all kinds of family gatherings for us. This weekend it was about brats, beer and pumpkin carving.
Oktoberfest 2012 Gem Lakes
Music, dancing and picking out the perfect pumpkin for carving.
Carving with a beverage break every here and now
(Can you tell we are working on potty training?)
Everyone taking their places and getting ready for the contest
Realizing that folks came VERY prepared for this contest...hand saws, elaborate scrappers, LED colored lights, etching tools, pattern tracers, etc.
Next year we will be ready with a cordless drill and big spoon. Maybe even a jigsaw and reciprocating saw.
