Strawberry Picking

Today we learned how to properly pick a strawberry. ( LDC is on the front row, in the first picture- we like that.)

After berry picking we headed over to the pond to feed the catfish.

Just a few fish

Then on to learn how honey is made.

And in case the kids didn't get enough sugar with all the berry eating and strawberry slushy drinking, we sampled honey.

What to Expect...19 Months

According to books, magazines and the web....What to Expect With a 19 month old
"As crazy as it may seem, weird toddler behavior such as nose picking, knuckle cracking, and belly-button fiddling are actually quite common. The trick is learning how to handle these bizarre habits without losing your cool."

"Her galloping will probably be more enthusiastic than graceful, but that's normal."

"One amusing way to help your toddler experiment with her new skills is to have a parade."

"Some little ones like a slower, quieter pace and that’s fine; a mellow toddler may tend toward drawing, puzzles, or listening to stories, so give her what she wants, Mom, and embrace her individuality."

"The most important thing that we can do to instill confidence in our children is too love them. Let your toddler know that you love them by providing multiple hugs and kisses. Set limits and rules and follow through."
